Child & Adolescent Psychology Telehealth Australia-Wide

Is Telehealth Different to Face-To-Face Consultations?

Telehealth makes accessing psychology therapy anywhere in Australia easier.  Kerryn uses Microsoft Teams, a secure, encrypted video platform.

Telehealth or Videoconferencing, as it is sometimes called, is similar to face-to-face consultations but uses an internet connection to connect you with Kerryn.

Videoconferencing can occur via a mobile phone, tablet, PC/Personal Computer, or desktop computer, as long as the device has a webcam and microphone.  Headphones are encouraged to ensure confidentiality and privacy.

There is good evidence of the  effectiveness of telehealth for child and adolescent mental health, particularly when managing anxiety, behavioural and emotional dysregulation, and autism (Emerging Minds: Telehealth Supporting Child Mental Health).
